History
Thornstar, as a kit, was brought to ShatteredClan to live with his father, Gingershade, while his siblings remained with his rogue mother. Gingershade rarely acknowledged his half-Clan kit, and he was raised with an adopted mother and father. Though it wasn't proven to the rest of the Clan, it was suspected he was half-rogue, by his clanmates. Due to this, he often received teasing from the other kits, and whispers from the others. Because of the taunting, Thornkit mainly kept to himself, friendless, until his apprentice ceremony.
Being named an apprentice didn't quite help either. He was still taunted for his half-blood status, and his mentor was just as merciless. His training was harsh, though he only strived to become better, trying to prove everyone wrong. Thornpaw's first few moons of apprenticehood passed without incident, other than training, though around the middle, his father disappeared. The Clan found no trace of him. Thornstar suspects that Gingershade ran away from the Clan to find his un-named mate, though he has no proof. He has no knowledge of his father as of today.
The rest of his apprenticehood passed quickly, and he soon received his warrior ceremony. The tom received the name Thorntalon. During the ceremony, the leader proclaimed that she was naming him after his battle skills, though Thorntalon suspected that it was because of his rogue heritage. By now, the negative attitudes of his clanmates had affected him, making him quite serious, and his smiles rare.
His first apprentice, Creekpaw, was a jokester--laidback and never taking anything seriously. The two personalities crashed, and Thorntalon found himself snapping at his apprentice often. Training passed with tension, and once Creekpaw received his warrior name, the two avoided each other with great effort. Thornstar currently hasn't spoken to his apprentice in several seasons.
A couple seasons after Creekpaw completed his training, the deputy of ShatteredClan died of greencough. To Thorntalon's great surprise, he was named deputy in place. He accepted the role with gratitude, and never took it for granted. During his time as deputy, the tom trained one more apprentice, Foxpaw. The two got along together much better than Creekpaw, though by now Thorntalon had earned a bit of respect from the rest of the Clan.
A few moons after Foxpaw completed her training, the aged leader of ShatteredClan died in battle. Thorntalon took his place, taking on the name Thornstar. He currently has eight lives left, losing his first life to an illness, a reminder that upsets him greatly. He would've rather lost his life defending his Clan.
